Starbucks modifies beverage prices

US-based coffee company Starbucks has announced that it will increase the price of some large and complex beverages such as frothy blended frappuccino, and will be lowering the costs of simple and popular beverages such as the latte and plain coffee.

The company has said that prices on certain beverages will increase between $0.10 and $0.30, where as cost of basic beverages will decrease between $0.05 and $0.15.The price changes are expected to be implemented across the US shortly. However, the Seattle-based coffee company said that the charges will fluctuate according to the region.More prices are expected to increase as part of the coffee giant’s plan than any price decreases, the Associated Press reported.
