CINCINNATI–Enjoy a fun-filled evening of music, art, wine, food, and of course, coffee, with Village Life and Coffee Emporium as they unveil their new Tanzanian Peaberry blend.
Village Life Outreach Project, Inc, is a Cincinnati-based non-profit organization that partners with villages in Tanzania to design and implement sustainable projects to fight poverty and improve conditions of Life, Health, and Education–and bring lessons learned in Africa back home to our local Cincinnati community.
Village Life Tanzanian Peaberry is a wonderful blend of organic coffee, shade-grown on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro and sourced from small farmers in Tanzania, East Africa who are paid three times fair-trade value.
The peaberry bean is carefully selected for it\’s rich, distinguished flavor, giving this coffee optimal flavor and aroma.
The coffee is roasted in small batches by microartisan roasters at Coffee Emporium of Cincinnati.
The funds from the coffee fundraiser will go to help build a health center in Tanzania.
Construction has begun on Roche Health Center, a partnership between Village Life, Roche Village, and the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture and Interior Design.
Once complete, the facility will provide the first ever permanent health-care to the region and serve an estimated 25,000 villagers.
Tickets for Saturday\’s fundraiser are $30.
The event is May, 22 at the Coffee Emporium at 110 East Central Parkway.
Tickets include complimentary wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres, music and artwork, and a one pound bag of the good stuff, Village Life\’s Tanzanian Peaberry Coffee.
All proceeds support the Nutrition Project and Roche Health Center.
