Coffee exports in Peru my hit a record level this year as buyers look to buy more this year due to improving quality, according to the head of the Peruvian Coffee Chamber.
In an article posted online at Bloomberg.com, titled,”Starbucks Buying May Push Peru Coffee Sales to Record,” Starbucks and other buyers may boost export sales 12 percent in 2010. Peru’s organically grown Arabica beans are,”cheaper than Colombian coffee, have a smooth flavor and improved in quality in recent years,”said Eduardo Montauban, head of the Chamber.
