International Coffee Expert Néstor Osorio Initiates “Faces of the Americas” Speaker Series

Event: Néstor Osorio, executive director of the International Coffee Organization (ICO), will be the first speaker in the new “Faces of the Americas/Rostros de las Américas” series presented by the Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS) at The University of Texas at Austin.

Background: Osorio will talk about sustainability practices and their influence on international business. A native of Colombia, Osorio has been executive director of the ICO in London, the United Nations agency that oversees the world coffee economy. A reception and coffee tasting will follow. The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Reserve your seat now.


This is the first of six talks in the “Faces of the Americas” speaker series, sponsored by LLILAS, Univision Austin and the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The series brings to Austin the liveliest voices from Latin America and the United States to discuss the latest in business and events in the region.
