MILAN – A new web series follows a group of college students as they travel to Guatemala to learn about the coffee industry and then participate in a national competition for Students in Free Enterprise (Sife). The online video documentary is produced by Sinnott Productions and sponsored by Bunn, an industry leader in beverage equipment.

During the 15 episode web series, the students explore the challenges of growing and marketing coffee first hand. The first episode of Mission Coffee Can is scheduled to premiere on February 24, 2010.

New five to ten minute episodes will be available weekly at MissionCoffeeCan.com .
Marisol, a North Central College student from Aurora Illinois, commented on her experience, “Guatemala is rich in history, tradition, values and beautiful landscape.” “Despite living conditions and being victims of ethnic discrimination, the people I encountered always had a smile on their face.”

We believe that this series will be thought-provoking for students and coffee lovers everywhere” said Desiree Logsdon, VP of Marketing. “Mission Coffee Can is a great way to increase awareness about the daily challenges in coffee producing countries.”
