MILAN – Total coffee production may reach a record high in the year beginning Oct. 1, thanks to the satisfactory rainfall in the main coffee crop growing-regions, according to reports.
Output may total 300,000-305,000 metric tons in the year beginning Oct. 1, compared with 289,600 tons, Ramesh Rajah, president of the Coffee Exporters Association of India was quoted as saying.
Exports may jump at least 5% to 220,000 tons in the next season, Rajah stated.
