The International Coffee Organization’s third World Coffee Conference, scheduled for next February 26-28 in Guatemala City, is set to bring together at least 1,000 participants, the organisers said in late September.
Besides representatives of 77 ICO member governments, the meeting’s participants will include heads of state, ministers, and representatives of major private sector and non-governmental organisations.
The 2010 event, themed “Coffee for the Future: Towards a sustainable coffee sector”, will highlight economic, social and environmental issues related to the sector.
