GLOBAL – Café Coffee Day acquires Czech chain

MILAN – In a bid to establish a foothold in Europe, Café Coffee Day, India’s leading coffee and tea beverage chain, has recently acquired Czech cafe chain Cafe Emporio for US$ 3.4 million. Cafe Emporio has 11 cafes in the Czech Republic.
 
Ccd, which has 917 outlets across India, four in Vienna and two in Karachi, hopes to generate 10-15 percent of its revenue from international markets.
