Campos Coffee in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, has been voted the best cafe in Australia in the Lifestyle Channel’s I Love Food Awards.

The winners were decided by the foodies of Australia, and Campos Coffee, a small coffee shop in The Valley has come up trumps.

The award is a big win for cafe culture in Brisbane, which has been growing to rival that of Melbourne and Sydney.

Campos Coffee is a cute coffee shop hidden down a little lane on Wandoo Street in The Valley, and serves Campos coffee, which is roasted on site in Brisbane.

Milk crates with cushions, sitting on a strip of astro turf, form the outside seating and give the cafe a distinct quirky flavour.

The interior nicely complements the exterior, with funky fans and bright green and black booth seats.

The staff are friendly, offering advice on menu choices and chatting with regulars.

It’s no wonder people love it- the cafe has a lively atmosphere, the food is delicious, and the coffee is phenomenal, having a distinct nutty flavour.

Campos Coffee in Brisbane was joined on the winners list by Campos in Newtown, Sydney, which was voted “best coffee” in Australia in the I Love Food Awards.
