(Washington-AP, Oct. 17, 2006) – There is a recall on one of Starbucks’ coffee makers due to a possible fire hazard.
The following recall has been announced:
About 73,000 Starbucks Barista Aroma Stainless Steel Eight-Cup Coffee Brewers, distributed by Starbucks Coffee Company, because the brewers have defective wiring that can cause overheating, burning and melting, which poses a possible fire hazard. Starbucks has received 23 reports from consumers after parts of the brewers melted.
The recall includes only the eight-cup brewers. “Starbucks Barista Aroma” is printed on the front of the item. The brewer has silver buttons and a chrome finish.
Starbucks company-owned and operated stores nationwide sold the brewers between March 2005 and September 2006.
