Ha Noi, Mar. 13 (VNA) – President Van Thanh Huy of the Viet Nam Coffee and Cocoa Association (Vicofa) has warned enterprises not to sell a large quantity of coffee because this year’s output is forecast to be reduced by 30 to 40 percent while domestic demand is gradually growing.

Vietnamese enterprises exported 300,000 tonnes of coffee products in the first two months of this year, a slight decrease from the previous corresponding period, Huy said.

However, Vicofa has told its member enterprises not to sign contracts for late delivery to minimise risks due to possible coffee price changes.

Last year, several enterprises got losses for their post-delivery contracts because of coffee prices affected by a limited supply of resources.-Enditem
