(Comtex Finance)SINGAPORE, Dec 21, 2005 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) –Green coffee stocks at Japanese ports stood at 117,767 metric tons at the end of November, down 8.3% from end-October, according to data issued Thursday by Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
Japan’s green coffee stocks at the end of October stood at 128,396 tons.
The country’s green coffee stocks totaled 96,891 tons at the end of November 2004.
Of the 117,767 tons, 24,650 tons were from Colombia. Central America exported 31,724 tons to Japan, Brazil shipped 26,832 tons and Indonesia exported 11,455 tons, while 23,106 tons were shipped from other countries.
Japan is the world’s third-largest coffee importer.
