MILAN – Vienna-based design duo Mischer’Traxler has showcased a recycling solution for Nespresso coffee capsules.
Mischer’Traxler used 700 espresso pods to make 17 batteries — by combining crushed aluminum capsules (the anodes), coffee grounds, salt water and a chunk of copper (the cathode) — to each give life to a small clock.
The entire installation could juice a single small radio.
