MUMBAI – India’s coffee exports between January-July fell 21% on year to 117,976 metric tons due to lower output and weak demand, a senior official with the state-run Coffee Board said Friday.
Arabica exports declined 38% on year to 22,728 tons, while robusta shipments fell 12% on year to 66,157 tons during the period, said the official, who declined to be identified.
India, Asia’s third-largest coffee producer, exports about two-thirds of its production.
