MILAN – The premium paid for Colombia coffees will probably drop to 50 cents at year-end, from about 70 cents now, thanks to increased supply and a calmer market said yesterday Ramon Campo, president of the Colombian National Coffee Growers Federation’s board.
In other news, Gabriel Silva, Fedecafe’s general manager is expected to present his resignation from the Federation on Aug. 6, the day Mr. Silva will be announced officially as the country’s new minister of defence.
